The Oron Farm was founded by Gary and Iris Oron, farmers from their childhood, in 1989.

The farm specializes in a variety of different crops such as: cherry tomatoes in various colors, small peppers of various types, regular peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, tomatoes, salad leaves, figs, prickly-pears, guava and more…

Group Agricultural Tours are conducted on the farm.

On the tours, we will expand on agricultural development in the area, see the various stages of the fruits’ development up until harvesting time, and we will also see a transparent bee-hive and watch the bees at work and their contribution to fertilization of the tomatoes.

On the tour, we will go up to vantage point overlooking the region and we’ll hear an explanation of the area, from different aspects.

The remains of the ancient synagogue and settlement in this place, provide great interest to visitors. This is alongside a first-of-its-kind, enjoyable and challenging “escape-compound” with many stations, each with unique content.

Nahal David, in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, is considered one of the most attractive streams in the Dead Sea Land. It flows all year round, and is an enjoyable trip-experience for the whole family.

Nahal David combines water from four springs flowing into its path – Ein David, Ein Shulamit, Ein Gedi Spring and Ein Arugot.

The tour starts from the entrance to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, and after a few minutes’ walk you reach the first waterfall. The trail continues through the stream-route to the enchanting David Waterfall. This is a real oasis, explaining why people chose to settle here, throughout the ancient eras and up until the Second Temple period.

Throughout the entire route you can wade through the water, and the walk back descends to a circular route parallel to the outgoing trail.

First, this is the lowest nature reserve in the world – located right on the shores of the Dead Sea, in the heart of the region where the Syrian-African Rift transformed continents.  Today, there are about 900 different species of plants in the garden, which came from all over the world.
The result is that this not-so-large garden, is a mini-cosmos – you’ll find Baobab trees from Africa, Adenium from Australia, Cacti from South America, tropical vegetation and plants mentioned in the Bible. They all live together in one happy flower bed, and perhaps there is also symbolism in it, that we can all learn from.

You can explore the garden in two ways: independent walking or guided tour.
To tour independently all you need to do is to arrive during open hours, pass through the botanical garden visitors’ center, get a map of the garden with trail markings – and off you go! The map is available in Hebrew, English and Russian.

Nahal Amatziahu, a unique natural site in the Dead Sea area, originates in the Jehoaddan hills at the edge of the Hatzra ridge, west of Road 90. The stream stretches approximately 20 kilometers, carving its path through the soft, white rocks characteristic of the tongue-shaped formations.
The stream ends its journey at the Dead Sea, near the Amatziahu River Park, facing the stunning Red Mountains.

The name of the stream draws inspiration from the Bible, where it is suggested that Amaziah, King of Judah, passed through the area on his way to suppress the Edomite rebellion. As described: “And he smote Edom with the rods of salt” (2 Kings 14:7).

The trail to Ein Bokek, in the Bokek Stream, is an enchanting experience in the Dead Sea Land, and is the closest trail to the Ein Bokek hotels.

The new entrance to the trail is well positioned and there is no longer any need to park dangerously on Route 90. Enter from the Sonol gas station’s access road in Ein Bokek and park your car in the designated travelers’ parking lot.

When passing the large sign with directions for hikers, you immediately enter the stream route and walk through the cool, shallow creek-water that flows along its path between shrubs and trees, which cast shade along most of the route.

In the past, Nahal Rom was relatively unknown and hidden from the public eye. Few people walked through it, and it remained secluded. However, after the Israel National Trail was rerouted to pass through the stream, Nahal Rom gained fame and recognition. Today, the trail runs through this beautiful area.
